Lance Hall, LCSW

Lance has a Bachelor Degree from Southern Utah University in Psychology and a Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Utah. 
He began working with youth in 1999 and has accumulated valuable experience as a caseworker for DCFS, for five years.  He spent several years working for Southwest Behavioral Health where he conducted therapy groups in local schools and therapy services at the Washington County Youth Crisis Center. He has worked as a therapist in a residential treatment center and a wilderness therapy program as well. In addition, Lance brings experience to his current practice from his work in counseling convicted sex offenders at Purgatory Correctional Facility and working with patients in the psychiatric unit at DRMC. 
He is married and a father of three sons and loves to spend time with them just being a family.


Roger Nelson, LCSW

Roger is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker from West Jordan, Utah. Some of Roger’s background includes working for a produce farmer when he was 11 and 12 years old, working for a ranch/dairy when he was 13 and 14, and has been working at something ever since. He possesses a Bachelors degree in Psychology and a Masters degree of Social Work both from the University of Utah. Roger has been working in the area of youth treatment since 1992 in a variety of settings and brings valuable experience to the clinical team. He has worked as a caseworker and therapist at a residential setting for adolescents with substance abuse and sexual abuse issues,as an outpatient therapist for adolescents, children, and their families, youth crisis center counselor, and as a child and family services caseworker in both Salt Lake City and St. George and most recently a wilderness treatment therapist. When he is not working, Roger enjoys hiking, camping, rock climbing, target shooting, and, most of all, spending time with his wife and four children.

Derek Buchi, LSAC

Derek began working at a substance abuse treatment center for adolescents in 1994. It didn't take long for him to realize that he had a passion for working with those who struggle with addiction and that he had an ability to connect and relate with them.  He continued to pursue this career as a substance abuse counselor and became licensed in 2001. 
Since 1994, Derek has had the opportunity to to work with several adolescent substance abuse treatment centers throughout Utah in a variety of different settings including general and intensive outpatient, day treatment, and residential treatment.  He also spent two years working with the adult population in residential treatment.  He prefers working with the adolescent population due to the dramatic impact that can be made in such crucial years of their lives.
Derek is married with two kids, one girl and one boy and loves spending time with his family.  He is also a big sports fan and particularly enjoys baseball, basketball, and football.  He is committed and determined to do what he can to help improve the lives of families in Southern Utah that have been affected by substance abuse issues.

Suzanne West, LPC

Suzanne is a Licensed  Professional Counselor.  She is originally from Salt Lake City, Utah where she received a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Utah in Behavioral Science and Health.  She earned a Master's Degree of Clinicial Counseling from the Unversity of Phoenix in 2004.  Suzanne has worked with youth in various settings for the past 15 years.  After moving to St. George, she worked with at-risk youth for the State of Utah as a probation officer and case manager through Juvenile Probation and Youth Corrections from 1994 through 2002.  She then worked as a state licensor where she licensed youth residential treatment facilities and wilderness programs.  She completed internships at Dixie High School as a counselor and also worked as a therapist at a local residential treatment facility for youth.  Suzanne has worked for the Division of Child and Family Services for the past four years, first as the Safe Passage Grant Coordinator working with polygamous families and currently as a clinicial in-home worker and therapist. 
Suzanne has taught parenting classes in St. George at DCFS and is a certified teacher for the Strengthening Families parenting classes through the Family Resource Center.  Suzanne enjoys camping, hiking, traveling and spending time with her family.


Matt Bulkley, LCSW

Matt is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working in the area of youth treatment since 1995. He possesses a Bachelors degree in Special Education from BYU and a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Utah.
Matt's experience comes from a wide variety of settings.  He worked as a teacher and counselor at Dixie Middle School for eight years with a focus on at-risk teens.  In addition to his work in the schools, he has worked for nearly ten years as a caseworker and therapist for the state of Utah DCFS in the St. George office.  
In the private sector, has worked as a therapist in residential treatment settings, in psychiatric care settings and in a wilderness therapy program.  
When he is not working, Matt enjoys weight training, running, biking and spending time with his wife and five children.



Kena Frey, LCSW

Kena is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that specializes in working with adolescents and especially females.
Kena has a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Utah and a Master of Social Work from Boston College.
She has had the opportunity to work with adolescents in a variety of settings including individual and group therapy in the Boston Public schools, Out-patient Groups, and Individual therapy as well as Wilderness settings. 
 When Kena is not working, you may find her and her husband out camping, climbing or backpacking through the mountains together with their two children.


Colette Zolg, LCSW

Colette is Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been working with youth and families for the past ten years. 
Colette has a Bachelor's degree in Sociology from Southern Utah University and a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. 
Colette's passion in working with youth came from growing up with foster kids in her home and her father who directed youth programs in Arizona and Southern Utah.  Colette began working in one of these "at-risk" youth programs as a college student while attending SUU and then moved south to work with depressed and suicidal youth in Las Vegas.  After receiving her Master's degree, Colette began working for the State of Utah Division of Child and Family Services, in St. George where she expanded her knowledge in working with youth and families.  Colette has experience in individual therapy with youth, children's play therapy, family therapy, mental health assessments, depression, suicide risk presentations, and teaching parenting classes.
When Colette is not working, she enjoys vacationing with her husband (anywhere) and spending time with her extended family.

Dan Sanderson, Ph.D.

Dr. Dan Sanderson is a licensed clinical psychologist that has been working in the field of mental health for about 27 years.  His experiences range from creating independent living programs for developmentally disabled adults, to in-patient psychiatric hospital work, to private out-patient psychotherapy, neuropsychological assessment, and forensic psychology.  Since 1994, Dr. Sanderson has been instrumental in the development of what has become the premier wilderness treatment program in the United States.  
 

Dan is the father of five children and enjoys a number of physical pursuits in the out-of-doors and is active in Scouting with his son.  He will occasionally become active in community theater or other musical involvements with his children as well.
