Jana Timmons, CMHC Intern

Jana is a Clinical Mental Health Counselor Intern who has been working with children and families since 2011 as an Elementary School Counselor. Jana received her Bachelors degree in Psychology from Brigham Young University with a minor in Family
Science. She received her Masters degree from University of Utah in Educational Psychology. She is currently finishing her program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
Jana loves helping individuals from diverse backgrounds and all different ages with a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues.
She believes in creating a safe and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences. She is trauma-informed and integrates techniques from cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment
therapy (ACT), mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. She is passionate about empowering individuals to overcome challenges, build resilience, and live fulfilling lives. She works collaboratively with her clients to develop personalized strategies for growth
and healing. Jana loves spending time with her husband and five (now 6) children – 4 sons, 1 daughter, and 1 daughter-in-law. She enjoys reading, playing board games, watching movies, hiking, and playing pickleball. Jana loves to travel with her family and explore
this beautiful world.
