At Therapy Associates, we recognize the significant challenges that children, teens, and their families face during times of mental health crisis. Our Child and Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) provides comprehensive evaluation and intensive treatment for youth ages 10–17 experiencing mental health difficulties.This specialized day treatment program allows participants to receive structured, inpatient-level care while continuing to live at home. Our multidisciplinary team collaborates to help adolescents manage crises, address behavioral, emotional, and social challenges, and build strategies to prevent future difficulties.

Steps To Recovery
Our structured approach guides participants through three key phases:

Understanding the Problem
Youth explore personal, social, and biological factors contributing to their challenges, with particular focus on triggers that may lead to crisis.
2. Learning New Skills
Participants develop healthy strategies for managing challenges, regulating emotions, and navigating difficult situations.
3. Creating a Plan
Individuals build personalized plans to apply new skills in daily life, promoting confidence and long-term success.
Program Goals
The Therapy Associates PHP day treatment program focuses on equipping children and teens with practical life skills while providing ongoing support through comprehensive care. Key goals include:

Reducing self-defeating beliefs and behaviors

Enhancing coping skills and interpersonal relationships

Decreasing the need for full hospitalization
We utilize a holistic, evidence-based model addressing biological, psychological, and social needs:

Biological Treatment
Medication management, when appropriate, to support brain chemistry balance and alleviate symptoms hindering recovery (provided by on-site physician).

Psychological Treatment
Individual and group therapy sessions to explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; learn coping strategies; challenge negative patterns; and build resilience.

Social Treatment
Collaboration with youth, families, and schools to strengthen relationships, address home and academic challenges, and enhance support systems through education and therapy.

Program Overview

This structured format delivers intensive therapy comparable to inpatient care, while allowing participants to return home evenings and weekends for real-world application of skills.
