Steps To Recovery

Our structured approach guides participants through three key phases:

  1. Understanding the Problem

Youth explore personal, social, and biological factors contributing to their challenges, with particular focus on triggers that may lead to crisis.

2. Learning New Skills

Participants develop healthy strategies for managing challenges, regulating emotions, and navigating difficult situations.

3. Creating a Plan
Individuals build personalized plans to apply new skills in daily life, promoting confidence and long-term success.

Program Goals

The Therapy Associates PHP day treatment program focuses on equipping children and teens with practical life skills while providing ongoing support through comprehensive care. Key goals include:

  • Reducing self-defeating beliefs and behaviors

  • Enhancing coping skills and interpersonal relationships

  • Improving emotional recognition and regulation

  • Decreasing the need for full hospitalization

We utilize a holistic, evidence-based model addressing biological, psychological, and social needs:

  • Biological Treatment
Medication management, when appropriate, to support brain chemistry balance and alleviate symptoms hindering recovery (provided by on-site physician).

  • Psychological Treatment
Individual and group therapy sessions to explore thoughts, emotions, and behaviors; learn coping strategies; challenge negative patterns; and build resilience.

  • Social Treatment
Collaboration with youth, families, and schools to strengthen relationships, address home and academic challenges, and enhance support systems through education and therapy.
