Finding the right mental health support for your child when standard weekly therapy isn't enough can feel overwhelming. For many families in Southern Utah, a crisis used to mean choosing between short weekly appointments or making the difficult drive to Salt Lake City or Las Vegas for inpatient care.
Therapy Associates in St. George offers a powerful local alternative: Partial Hospitalization Day Treatment (PHP).
This structured, high-support program provides hospital-level therapeutic care during the day, allowing your pre-teen or teenager to receive intensive treatment while returning home to their family every evening.
What is Day Treatment (PHP)?
Day Treatment, also known as a Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), serves as a crucial middle ground in youth mental health care. It is designed to be:
A Step Up: When traditional weekly outpatient therapy isn't providing enough support during an acute crisis.
A Step Down: When a youth is transitioning out of an inpatient psychiatric hospital or residential program and needs a supportive bridge back to daily life.
Operating Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, our program delivers 6 hours of daily structured support, offering the depth of inpatient care with the comfort and continuity of staying at home.
